Recently did a 10 day photography trip to NZ, temps down to -12.5 at one stage. My hands stayed warm and able to shoot for long periods without any problems.

These gloves are amazing. We use a number of different types of cameras from fully build mirrorless career set up to shoot cinematic videography, action camera to multiple drones. We made the mistake of ordering our Otex XT-805 gloves the week before a job in Japan. We ordered them on a Sunday and had them in my hands on the Thursday morning a day before we flew. Mark was amazing and could not help enough even though it was us who left it to last minute not him. After 2 weeks of shooting in snow and the cold we could not be happier and they really surpassed me with how good they were for my drone work. Having the extra fingers exposed was a must for the drone. If you have any hesitation I say go for it they are fantastic.

These are really nice gloves for those -16c winter photo shoots. That has been the coldest I was able to test during a swan & beaver outing for 2-3 hours. Because the 3 fingers can opened I did feel those fingers tips slightly cooler, but fisting my hands occasionally warmed them up. I bought one size up for extra air for warmth so I make sure fingers tips are up inside tight for better camera control. Product matches description but needs more sizing options: in my case the width for a small was perfect 19cm but the length (19cm( even was too long for my fingers (16cm) causing difficulties removing the flip lock as my fingers were not visible when flip lock was taken off resulting in hard force to barely get my fingers to appear out. It would be good to also provide more measurements since one statement says “The gloves fingers are typically a bit longer” but doesn’t specify how much “bit longer” they actually are. Other then that the product felt comfortable. XS sizing should be considered for those like me. Thank you.

I had fast service from Otex and the gear I received was as advertised. I haven't used it yet but it fitted well. I'm looking forward to trying it out.

Got the gloves (XL) in late July and headed to Svalbard. Summer there, so just above freezing. The gloves were almost perfect but the overarching problem was that they were just a bit too small. And I'm big. So, I'd really like a XXL pair, which unfortunately you don't make.

The size issue meant that they were too tight for inners and I ended up with very cold fingertips when the caps were off for an extended period. This was exacerbated as the rest of the hand was perfectly warm.

I'm excited at the prospect of mittens, but is size going to be an issue as well?

While all winter gloves make it difficult to handle gear, these gloves are far more flexible and easy to move. Kept me warm up on the Australian alps

Purchased a pair of glove for my husband inner gloves for myself. Had an issue when submitting order, contacted OTEX and problem was fixed and confirmed same day. Gloves are perfect, used their glove fit guide for perfect fit. Customer service is amazing.

I was using a different brand of glove with flip tip fingers, but thought I would give these a go because they had the hand warmer pocket. Overall, they are a good glove, but I did find the flip tip was not as good as the other gloves when closing them. The fabric doesn't seem to go back over the lower part of the glove as easily as the other brand does. Also, I am going to get some rechargeable hand warmers because the heat didn't really increase from the disposable ones until I took my hands out of the gloves. It seems like there wasn't enough airflow to keep the warmers activated until I removed the gloves from my hands. For anyone wondering, I used these in pretty horrible conditions. It was -6C, with heavy rain and strong wind.

Ordered two pairs of photography gloves for my wife and myself for an upcoming trip to Italy and France at Christmas as we both keen photographers and are familiar with the nuisance of having to remove gloves to use a camera or phone in very cold weather. The gloves are very well made and are very warm. Being able to use one’s fingertips without removing gloves is a real game changer. Looking forward to using them in the cold.

I purchased the Otex gloves as I am an amateur photographer heading to the Himalayas and will be using my camera at high altitudes in cold temperatures. The gloves look well made and the openings will allow my fingers to feel the controls so i can adjust camera settings. The finger openings snap closed easily so my fingers are not exposed to the cold for long. I look forward to trying them in the cold.

It's summer here in UK so not had a chance to wear them yet. My review is based on sizing. I am a female. I followed the instructions on how to measure to get the right size. I was within tolerance for size recommended. The gloves are generously wide across the palm but the fingers are on the short side for me and feel as though they don't allow me bend my fingers comfortably enough. Until I've had a chance to try them when out in the winter, I shant know if they'll work for me

My items are even better than expected! The customer service was friendly and prompt and my package arrived well within the suggested timeframe. I can’t wait to use everything on my trip.

They are great. Sometimes the fingertip comes off when I'm not expecting it to.

These gloves are very well made and make a real difference when photgrahing in cold weather. Also great for astrophotography when out in the cold in middle of the night and needing to set up and adjust equipment during the evening.

I still felt the chillness inside the gloves even with all fingers closed. The temperature i was in was not even at freezing point and it was about 3 degrees C. Thinking of returning it and wait for a good one to come. appreciate your advise.
