These gloves are amazing. We use a number of different types of cameras from fully build mirrorless career set up to shoot cinematic videography, action camera to multiple drones. We made the mistake of ordering our Otex XT-805 gloves the week before a job in Japan. We ordered them on a Sunday and had them in my hands on the Thursday morning a day before we flew. Mark was amazing and could not help enough even though it was us who left it to last minute not him. After 2 weeks of shooting in snow and the cold we could not be happier and they really surpassed me with how good they were for my drone work. Having the extra fingers exposed was a must for the drone. If you have any hesitation I say go for it they are fantastic.

These are really nice gloves for those -16c winter photo shoots. That has been the coldest I was able to test during a swan & beaver outing for 2-3 hours. Because the 3 fingers can opened I did feel those fingers tips slightly cooler, but fisting my hands occasionally warmed them up. I bought one size up for extra air for warmth so I make sure fingers tips are up inside tight for better camera control. Camera Grip traction is great and this review was entered with gloves on, fingers inside gloves on and iPhone

Product matches description but needs more sizing options: in my case the width for a small was perfect 19cm but the length (19cm( even was too long for my fingers (16cm) causing difficulties removing the flip lock as my fingers were not visible when flip lock was taken off resulting in hard force to barely get my fingers to appear out. It would be good to also provide more measurements since one statement says “The gloves fingers are typically a bit longer” but doesn’t specify how much “bit longer” they actually are. Other then that the product felt comfortable. XS sizing should be considered for those like me. Thank you.

Unfortunately as a start up company, it's not always possible to make lots of different sizes at the beginning because we need to learn what the demand is first. It's funny because we have learned that we do actually offer more sizes than most of our compeditors so you're probably lucky you found us! 😂 As for the longer fingers, the fingers are true to the measurements stated, however we have heard not everyone's hands are as long as their widths - if only everyone's hand were the same size! These gloves are very well made and make a real difference when photgrahing in cold weather. Also great for astrophotography when out in the cold in middle of the night and needing to set up and adjust equipment during the evening.

I still felt the chillness inside the gloves even with all fingers closed. The temperature i was in was not even at freezing point and it was about 3 degrees C. Thinking of returning it and wait for a good one to come. appreciate your advise.

One important thing with thermal gloves is that insulation doesn’t create heat — it retains the warmth your hands already have. Think of it like an esky: put something cold inside and it stays cold. For best results, put the gloves on while your hands are still warm and keep the fingertips closed when you’re not using your camera.

I recently purchased the Otex Gloves. Using their hand measurement advice, I decided to bit the next size up, as my hand measured perfectly to fit the small size gloves. Upon receiving the gloves and trying them on, I don’t think my hand would have comfortably fitted into the smaller gloves.

I've been researching waterproof / warm gloves to take on our trip to Antarctica, with photography in mind. These are good quality gloves with great features (flip and hand warmer pockets). They are expensive, and even though I measured and followed the size chart I do feel they are quite tight and possibly would next time get a larger size as difficult to get on especially with an apple watch.

Love these gloves. Super practical with the fingers and magnets etc. and nice and warm. The only improvement I might suggest is having the zipper section in the index finger side rather than the little finger for easier access but that may make the opening smaller however it works pretty well as is.
